![]() ![]() The problem gets even more exasperated when you include hardcore characters, mules, and eventually new classes. ![]() It's even more brutal with the customization since you're going to be more attached to them compared to like D3, where all monks look exactly the same (aside from the male/female option). so now you need to start making choices and deleting characters that you spend hundreds of hours grinding in, have a ton of memories with, etc. Now the next season starts, but oh no, you already have 10 character slots (your five eternal ones, and the new five you made for last season). The season goes by, you spend time trying out all the classes, leveling up the ones you like, etc, etc. Then a new season starts, so you want to try out all the new uniques, hearts, etc for each class, so now you have to make another five characters to try them out. Say you have a level 100 eternal character of each class, not an unreasonable thing some people will hope to achieve someday. Even ignoring the fact that you need to re-customize your character every time you remake it, there is a much deeper issue. It's ridiculous that Diablo 4 doesn't have this option, and it's a ticking timebomb. Then after the season is over, they snap back to the eternal realm with the spare inventory sent to their mailbox. Rebirth was an option where you essentially reset your eternal character back to level 1, store all of it's items elsewhere and get transferred to the seasonal realm.
